Getting started

How do I start a charge?
Open Taac!, tap the charger on the map, pick the connector and press Start charging. As a guest you pay by card and go; with an account and a saved card the charge starts in one tap.
Do I have to register?
No. Guest mode lets you charge without creating an account: you pay by card and, if you want the receipt, you leave your email. An account is useful if you want to save a card, keep favourites, have a charging history, receive company invoices or use Plug & Charge.
Do I have to install an app from the store?
No. Taac! is a web app: it opens in your browser at taac.app. Add it to your phone's home screen and it opens full screen and behaves like a regular application, notifications included.
Can I charge with a card instead of my phone?
Yes, if you have an NFC card paired with your account: hold it against the reader on the charger and charging starts, billed to the payment method you already set up. Card and app are interchangeable: you can start with one and follow the session on the other.

Finding a charger

How do I find the chargers on the network?
On the map in the app. Every charger shows its live status — available, charging or offline — and you can search it by name or address. From there you start navigation with your phone's maps app.
How do I see only the chargers I care about?
With the filters: connector type, minimum power and Plug & Charge chargers only. Filters stay on until you reset them.
I'm at the charger but it shows as offline or busy.
The status on the map comes from the charger itself and updates live: if it is busy, the session in progress will end. Save it to your favourites and you'll get a notification when it frees up. If the charger is physically damaged, tell us — we need to know to fix it.
The charging power is lower than the one shown. Why?
The figure you see is the maximum that connector can deliver. The actual power is almost always lower, and that is not a fault: on alternating current the limit is set by the car's onboard charger, and battery temperature, state of charge and the vehicle's own settings all play a part.

While charging

How does Plug & Charge work?
The car identifies itself: you plug in the cable and charging starts on its own, with no phone and no card. You set it up once: add the vehicle in the Garage, enter its PCID, the app checks compatibility and then you enable the Taac! identifier from the car's display or its own app. A saved payment card is required.
How do I know how much I'm spending?
During the session the app shows energy, time and cost updating in real time. Turn on notifications and you get the start and end alerts even with the app closed, without keeping the screen on.
I can't stop the charge from the app.
Reopen the session in the app and press stop again: the signal travels through the charger and can take a few seconds. If it doesn't respond, try stopping from the vehicle by unplugging the cable at the car end. If the session stays stuck, write to us with the charger and the time.
I can't unplug the connector.
The cable stays locked while the session is open, so first make sure charging has really ended. Then unlock the car with the key and try again, because on many vehicles it is the central locking that releases the connector. Don't pull hard: if it won't release, contact us.
Charging stopped before reaching 100%.
Usually the vehicle decides: many cars have a charge limit set, and on alternating current the session ends naturally when the battery is full or when the onboard electronics reduce power to protect it. The history shows the energy actually delivered.

Costs and documents

How much does charging cost?
0.69 € per kWh, the same at every charger on the network, with no subscription and no activation fee. All the terms are on the Rates page.
Why is there an amount held on my card?
That's the pre-authorization: an amount held as a guarantee when charging starts, not a charge. At the end of the session you are billed only the actual cost and the difference is released. How quickly it clears depends on your bank and can take a few days.
What is the idle fee?
It exists to free the connector for whoever comes next. It only applies if you leave the car plugged in for more than 60 minutes after charging ends, costs 0.05 € per minute and is paused between 23:00 and 07:00. Unplug within the free hour and you pay nothing extra.
How do I get an invoice?
Register as a company and enter your VAT number and billing details: from then on every charge generates an invoice. Private customers get a receipt. All documents stay available in your charging history.
How do I delete my account?
From the app, in a few steps, without contacting anyone. The full procedure and the list of data erased are on the Account deletion page.
