The Taac! app

Find the charger, know what you will spend before you plug in, pay by card. No subscription, no card to carry, no credit to top up.

The map updates while you look at it

Green is free, red is in use: the status comes from the charger itself, not from a list someone updates by hand. You search by address and filter by connector type, minimum power and operator. Filters stay as you left them, so next time the map already shows only what you care about.

You pay for what you draw

No subscription, no card, no credit to top up. You pay by card for the energy you draw, at the VAT-inclusive price you see written before you start. When charging ends the receipt arrives on its own and stays in your history, together with every other session.

You know the cost before you plug in

Tell the app where you want the battery to get to and it answers with how many kWh it takes, how many minutes and how much it costs. And if there is a cheaper charger less than two kilometres away, with the same connector and the same speed, it tells you, with the distance in metres: you decide whether the detour is worth it.

Book the socket, or wait for it to free up

On Taac! network chargers you can book the socket and find it free when you arrive. If it is busy, “Follow socket” tells you the moment it becomes available again. The chargers you use often go into your favourites, under whatever name you like. Notifications follow you during the session too: when it starts, when it ends, when a booking is about to expire.

Across Europe, with the prices written down

Beyond the Taac! network you charge at more than ten thousand points in eleven European countries, run by other operators. The price is always the Taac! price, VAT included, and you find it written on the socket’s page before you start. The price list, brand by brand and country by country, is public: it is on this site, not only inside the app.

If you drive a Tesla

Link your Tesla account and the app shows the battery level and the range. The charge port opens on its own when you start, and at the end you can have the front trunk open. If you want, the climate control switches on by itself as charging nears the end, so you get into a car already at temperature. You can set the amps and the charge limit and read straight away how long it will take and when it finishes: “at 5:48 tomorrow”.

On your phone, on your wrist, in the car

Taac! is on the App Store and Google Play, and the same experience runs in the browser with nothing to install. It is on Apple Watch, on Wear OS and on Android Auto too. It speaks fourteen languages and comes in a light and a dark theme, following your phone or set by hand. And the QR code on the charger opens that socket’s session directly, without looking for it on the map. CarPlay support arrives with the next update.

If you drive for work

Companies get their own portal: employees charge with their own profile and the cost goes to the company, split by cost centre, with reports you can download. The driver pays nothing up front and keeps no receipts.
